I saw Dan and Laura raising their children in the midst of a life-changing experience. Downs' syndrome was something I had only heard about, but now it had entered into the lives of my friends. Watching Dan and Laura and their family adjust, time after time, to new set-backs and frustrations while dealing with this illness opened my eyes to the fact that Downs' is not just a physical diagnosis- it impacts everyone and everything.

challenge was the sole reason I decided to be on the Board. I am proud to be associated with this family who had been through so much, yet want to reach out to others and help them along in their journey of special needs. Hearing their hearts and seeing their vision for Living Legacy has been an inspiration in the many lives they have already touched, and the future holds so much more.
