I have the privilege of being Lydia Barten's mother. She was born with Down syndrome, and a major heart condition. I fell in love the moment she turned blue and fought so hard to stay among the living.
Every tear she cried out from pain made that love bond stronger and stronger. She had a pace maker put in at age 4 . It was then Lydia became my hero, so brave and yet so little.

these precious soldiers. It is now through Living Legacy, that our longing to pave an easier road for parents and families to
travel across, can be possible.
